Dr. Nathan Fiebke
Nate is a Wisconsin native but he has lived all over the upper Midwest. He has been married to Christine, a nurse, for 18 years. Together they have 3 daughters. They have called Rhinelander home for more than 9 years.
He previously served as a combat medic in the 3rd Brigade of the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division. He then attended Michigan Tech in Houghton, Michigan, where he graduated with a BS in Biology. While at Tech, he spent 3 years on the mascot team dressed as “Blizzard T. Husky”. He went to graduate school at Purdue University earning a MS in Biology. He finished his schooling at the Indiana University School of Dentistry where he graduated in 2015 with a DDS.
Dr. Fiebke normally works at his office in Rhinelander Monday through Thursday and spends Fridays in Mole Lake at the Sokaogon Chippewa Community dental clinic caring for tribal members and the public.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the Society of American Indian Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) where he has earned fellowship status. Fellowship in the AGD requires 500 hours of continuing education (CE) covering all aspects of dentistry and successful completion of a comprehensive written exam. Only 6% of general dentists are AGD Fellows. The state of Wisconsin requires 30 hours of CE every two years in order to renew your dental license. Dr. Fiebke averages 200 hours every two year period.
Regardless of your insurance situation, we will do our best to maximize your insurance benefits. We work to keep out of pocket costs to a minimum.
At this time we do not accept state Medicaid (also known as Forward Health / Badgercare). If you would like to use dental coverage through Medicaid, there are local clinics that are able to accept your plan- Sokaogon Chippewa Health Clinic in Mole Lake, Marshfield Clinic in Rhinelander, Forest County Potawatomi in Crandon, or Peter Christensen Dental Clinic in Lac Du Flambeau.
We offer discounts for patients that pay with cash or check.
Life is unpredictable. We know things can happen that prevent you from keeping your appointment. If that happens we ask for as much advanced notice as possible- preferably 24 hours notice so we can offer your spot to someone else. We have a list of people that are waiting to be seen, and we appreciate your help by keeping your appointment.
Contact us today if you have any questions, if you need a new patient exam, or if you need to see us on an emergent basis.
In March of 2021, Dr. Fiebke purchased the practice from Dr. Randall Natrop. Even through Dr. Natrop “retired”, he thankfully agreed to stay with us part-time to finish some cases- providing the same high quality dentistry for which he developed a reputation over his career. He has since fully retired but remains a phone call away when Dr. Fiebke needs an experienced opinion on a case.
When not working, Dr. Fiebke enjoys family time, along with hunting, beekeeping, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hiking, and hanging out on Lake Superior. He volunteers with the Newbold Fire Department and is an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and School in Rhinelander.
